Thai Airways To Resume Daily Flights From April Boosting Tourism.

Thai Airways, the national carrier of Thailand, is set to recommence its daily scheduled flights to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) starting April 1, 2024.

This decision is poised to invigorate the tourism sector, which has experienced significant growth in international arrivals during the initial months of 2024. Notably, in January and February, BIA facilitated 207,182 and 218,350 visitors, respectively.

Travelers will now have access to exceptional service and connectivity through Thai Airways, granting them the opportunity to explore over 60 cities across 28 countries from Bangkok.

MAC Holdings Ltd. has been appointed as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Thai Airways in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Thai Airways operates flights to key destinations spanning Europe, Australia, Asia, and within Thailand.

Expressing its pleasure, Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd. welcomed the return of Thai Airways to its primary gateway.

As of February 2024, Sri Lanka’s airports had facilitated operations for 36 esteemed airlines engaged in scheduled international services, further solidifying their indispensable role in the aviation sector.
